Under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan “Seva Mera Yogdan”, and inspired by the Gujarat Road Safety Authority and Motor Vehicles Department, Gujarat, the programme was jointly organised by Aavas Financiers Limited, Rajasthan Road Safety Society, Steelbird and Sumandeep Vidyapeeth. Around 1,200 Medical & Ayurveda students received specialised road safety training and subsequently took a pledge as Road Safety Ambassadors to promote a clean, healthy and safe road culture and contribute towards the vision of building a nation free from road accident fatalities by 2047. As part of the initiative, 500 helmets manufactured by Steelbird and carrying special road safety messages were distributed free of cost to the students. 🪖 Mr. Ketan M. Khaped, RTO, administered the road safety pledge and highlighted the importance of safe road behaviour, particularly among young people. The training was led by Dr. Virendra Singh Rathore, Deputy Transport Commissioner (Road Safety), Rajasthan, who sensitised students on important aspects including traffic rules, speed limits, lane discipline, responsible driving and helping road accident victims. The programme was also attended by Mr. Mansukhbhai Shah, Founder Chairman, Sumandeep Vidyapeeth; Mr. V. Shah, Chancellor; Mr. Amit Vyas, CSR Officer, Aavas Financiers Limited, and representatives from the participating organisations. Another significant outcome of the programme was the proposal to make helmet use mandatory for students entering the university campus, which was accepted by the university management for implementation. The message of the day was clear: “Aware Youth, Aware Nation. Safe Youth, Safe Nation.” 🇮🇳 At Steelbird Helmets, we believe road safety begins with awareness, responsible riding and the correct use of quality helmets. Our commitment extends beyond manufacturing helmets to contributing towards a stronger culture of road safety across India. Every Head Protected.
